A journey into the lesser-known history of plastics processing in Romania

When and where did plastics processing first emerge in Romania? The documents identified during our research reveal a history that reaches further back — and is considerably less linear — than we initially expected.

In Corporate Radar CR-003, Plastinfo sets out to reconstruct this history through documentary sources, archives and industrial records, carefully distinguishing what can be confirmed from what still remains to be investigated.

From the earliest industrial traces to the emergence of large-scale production, the analysis follows the evolution of the materials, technologies and capabilities that gradually shaped Romania’s plastics processing industry.
