The American energy and petrochemical giant highlights significant progress in advanced recycling and the use of alternative feedstocks.
ExxonMobil has released its 2025 Circular Economy Report, showcasing substantial progress in advanced plastic recycling. According to the report, the company processed over 500,000 tonnes of plastic waste through advanced recycling technologies during 2024–2025, representing a 70% increase compared to the previous reporting period.

The company has set a target of 1 million tonnes per year by 2030, reinforcing its commitment to large-scale implementation of circular solutions. Investments are directed towards pyrolysis units in the United States and Europe, designed to convert plastic waste into high-purity feedstocks for new polymers and packaging applications.

ExxonMobil positions itself as one of the industry leaders in scaling advanced recycling, aligning with global sustainability and circular economy objectives.
