Minth Holdings invests €950 million in two new automotive plants in Serbia
2025.09.16 - 11:31
The Chinese group Minth Holdings is making a strategic €950 million investment in Serbia, opening two new facilities in Leskovac and Ćuprija. The project is expected to generate 2,800 jobs and strengthen Serbia’s role as an emerging automotive hub in Central and Eastern Europe.
Minth Holdings Ltd., one of China’s largest automotive component suppliers, has announced a landmark investment of €950 million in Serbia. The company plans to build two new factories, located in Leskovac and Ćuprija, which will specialize in aluminum and plastic automotive parts – mainly exterior trims, body structures, and battery casings for electric vehicles (EVs).

According to Serbian government sources, this represents one of the largest greenfield investments in the country’s automotive sector to date. The facilities are expected to create 2,800 new jobs over the next five years, contributing significantly to local economic growth.

This expansion underscores Serbia’s growing attractiveness for Asian automotive suppliers looking to establish a presence in Europe. Key factors include the country’s strategic location, competitive labor costs, and access to the EU market through trade agreements.

Analysts highlight that Minth’s investment is not only a boost for Serbia’s automotive cluster but also a strategic move in the context of Europe’s shift towards e-mobility. The company is expected to supply major OEMs across the continent, strengthening supply chains at a time of increasing demand for lightweight and EV-compatible components.
