The Chinese government is supporting the construction of 15 new chemical recycling plants by 2027.

According to China Daily, China has launched a $5 billion program to expand chemical recycling capacities. The new plants will convert mixed plastic waste into monomers and fuels, reducing dependence on virgin petrochemical resources and supporting circular economy targets.
